Biography:

Ms. Garcia has over 20 years of experience in the practice of law, she has been licensed to practice in all of the courts of the State of Florida since 1989. She joined the firm of Angones, McClure and Garcia in 2008 where she concentrates her practice to the area of defense litigation of Workers’ Compensation Insurance Claims. Ms. Garcia is a certified instructor by the State of Florida, Department of Insurance. Currently, she is also a member of the Worker’s Compensation Section of the Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association, the Cuban-American Bar Association, Ellesquire, and the University of Miami Alumnae Association.
Ms. Garcia was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and relocated to Miami in 1971 were she was raised and educated. She is fully bilingual in Spanish and English. Ms Garcia graduated from Msgr. Edward Pace Catholic High School in 1982 and attended the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Public Affairs in 1986. She then attended the University of Miami School of Law, and in 1989 earned her Juris Doctor degree.
Ms. Garcia’s past experience includes Family Law, Real Property and Probate, Bankruptcy, Corporate and Health Care Law. She served as Executive Director of Miami Dade Home Health Agency, and served on the Board of Directors of Miami Dade Health Plan, HMO. Ms. Garcia enjoys volunteering and mentoring students regarding educational programs related to government and the law, debate, and mock trial competitions. She has been recognized by the Supreme Court of Florida for her leadership and contributions to judicial educational programs for high school students.
